Introduction of Paclicad N Injection

Paclicad N Injection is a microtubule inhibitor that's used to treat metastatic breast cancer in patients who have failed combination chemotherapy or relapsed within 6 months of adjuvant chemotherapy. Paclicad N Injection can be combined with carboplatin as a first-line treatment for locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer in patients who cannot undergo radical surgery or radiation therapy. Paclicad N Injection is used in combination with gemcitabine as the first-line therapy for metastatic pancreatic cancer. Prior therapy should include anthracyclines unless clinically contraindicated.

Use of Paclicad N Injection may cause common side effects such as alopecia, neutropenia, sensory neuropathy, ECG abnormalities, fatigue/weakness, muscle/joint pain, elevated AST, elevated alkaline phosphatase, anaemia, nausea, infections, diarrhoea, and thrombocytopenia. Your doctor may recommend additional medications to help manage these side effects. If you experience unexplained bruising or bleeding, a sore throat, mouth sores, or high fever, it is important that you tell your doctor right away. 

Paclicad N Injection can decrease the number of blood cells in your body, which can make you more susceptible to infections. Regular blood tests are essential for monitoring blood cell counts and liver function.

Patients with baseline neutrophil count below 1,500 cells/mm3 or a known allergy to Paclicad N Injection or any of its ingredients should avoid using Paclicad N Injection. It is important to note that the safety and effectiveness of this Paclicad N Injection have not been established in pediatric patients.
