How Tasigna 150 mg Capsule Works?

• ​Tasigna 150 mg Capsule is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). It works by binding to and inhibiting the activity of the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase, a protein produced by the BCR-ABL gene. This gene is responsible for the proliferation of cancer cells in certain types of leukaemia, particularly chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) and Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (Ph+ ALL). When Tasigna 150 mg binds to the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase, it prevents the protein from phosphorylating (adding a phosphate group to) other proteins, which is necessary for cancer cells to proliferate and survive.
