• Desifer 100 mg Tablet is used for the management of chronic iron overload in patients aged 6 years or older with transfusion-dependent anaemias. Desifer 100 mg is also indicated for patients aged two to five with transfusion-dependent anaemias who cannot be effectively treated with deferoxamine. Additionally, Desifer 100 mg is prescribed for the treatment of chronic iron overload in patients aged 10 years or older with non-transfusion-dependent thalassemia syndromes. Desifer 100 mg Tablet class of medications called iron chelators. Desifer 100 mg Tablet works by attaching to iron in the body so that it can be excreted (removed from the body) in faeces.

  Desifer 100 mg Tablet may cause some common adverse effects including Rash.
