• Emend Capsule is an neurokinin-1 antagonist class of medicine. Emend Capsule is used in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age in combination with other medicines to prevent nausea and vomiting from drugs used in chemotherapy (cancer treatment) and drugs that strongly and moderately cause nausea and vomiting (such as cisplatin, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin or epirubicin).
  
  Emend Capsule is not recommended for patients who are allergic to any ingredient in Emend Capsule. Concomitant use of Emend Capsule with pimozide, terfenadine, astemizole, or cisapride is not recommended. Emend Capsule can increase plasma concentrations of these drugs and cause potentially serious or life-threatening reactions. Consult your physician before using Emend Capsule.
