Introduction of Mostim 24 mg Injection

  • Mostim 24 mg Injection is a stem cell mobiliser indicated for use in combination with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) to prepare haematopoietic stem cells for transplantation in patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (a blood cancer that affects the lymphatic system) and multiple myeloma (a type of cancer that affects the plasma cells of the bone marrow).

Mostim 24 mg Injection contains Plerixafor, which belongs to the class of drugs called haematopoietic stem cell mobilisers. Mostim Injection works by binding to the chemokine receptor CXCR4 and inhibiting the binding of its cognate ligand CXCL12.

Mostim 24 mg Injection may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, flatulence, tiredness, and injection site pain. These side effects will gradually disappear over time and do not require medical attention. This Mostim Injection is for use by a healthcare professional who has training in the use of this medicine. It should never be administered by yourself.

Do not use and tell your doctor if you are allergic to Mostim Injection or any of its components.
